The monologue has been adapted to remove gender and location identifiers, such as names or brands, allowing the actor to engage with the character’s circumstances from a place of authenticity.

It is structured line by line to synchronise with the VR feeder voice-over: each line is delivered through the voice-over, followed by a long pause that provides the actor with time to internalise, personalise, and repeat the line while immersed in the virtual environment.
